THE STORY OF SOURSOP
Hau Giang special soursops – prickly soursop, which is the source for our soursop-based products, are well-known for their quality all over the world: rich in minerals and vitamins, extraordinarily delicious and sweet, has fruits all around the year, and appropriate for making juices thus widely popular.
Hau Giang soursops have outstanding quality mainly because they have exceptional growing techniques. As the seeds are propagated, the farmers have to shard the particles and moisture them regularly. They have to take care of them for about a month for all good seeds to germinate. After seeding, the gap planting process also takes a lot of effort: the holes must be dug up to 50 cm depth and 50 cm wide before immediately placing topsoil and watering. NPK fertilizer must be chosen carefully for the most healthy development, while pesticides and drugs must be minimally used for the highest quantity and productivity.
For the harvesting standard to be met, the fruits should surpass the Vietnamese Good Agricultural Practices (VietGAP) standards, including the limitation of using pesticides and plant protection drugs, which ensures soursop trees grow better and bear sweeter and more tasting fruits. After harvesting, these fruits are delivered to our factory in air-free styrofoam boxes. Those boxes must be able to resist shock while also ensuring maximum aeration.
Hau Giang soursops are rich in many beneficial nutrients: vitamin C, Potassium, Magnesium, Thiamine, Iron, vitamin B6, and Sodium. This fruit has many significant health benefits: preventing cancer, improving the digestive system, stabilizing blood level, and fighting inflammation.
