Description
THE STORY OF ENERGY DRINK
Energy drinks are distinct from sports drinks that are used to substitute water and electrolytes before or during athletic exercise, and from coffee and tea that are brewed, which have less additives and can be decaffeinated. Energy drinks are also distinct from soft drinks, which either do not include caffeine or contain very small levels of caffeine.
Energy drinks are commonly marketed as energy-enhancing beverages that improve mental alertness and physical performance. In addition to multivitamins such as B3, B6, B12, energy drinks are the most common nutritional supplements used by teenagers and young adults. People between the ages of 18 and 34 consume the most energy drinks and almost one third of teens.
