THE STORY OF STRAWBERRY
Our strawberry-related products are sourced from Da Lat province – the largest strawberry field in Vietnam. Strawberries in this region are well-known for their outstanding quality, their exceptional taste, and sweetness. Those farms can achieve it because they impose strict cultivating standards and regulations on their growing process, thus supplying the best strawberries for our factory.
In detail, the soil must be carefully softened before growing to avoid heavy clay, must be between 6 to 7 pH degrees, must be watered regularly, and have at least daily 6 hours under the sun. As strawberries are a weak tree and have high sensitivity to weather changes, farmers have to cover them with mulch in the winter. Moreover, the lifetime of a strawberry tree is only about five years. Thus, for the best production, farmers have to replace new ones. The strawberries must be bright red for the best harvesting time, with fresh green leaves, as they are at the end of the ripening process. They must have no sign of mold, medium-sized, and have a tasty and sweet flavor. After harvesting, these fruits are delivered to our factory in air-free styrofoam boxes. Those boxes must be able to resist shock while also ensuring maximum aeration.
Strawberries in Da Lat contain high amounts of beneficial vitamins and minerals: they are an excellent source of vitamin C and K, a good source for folic acid, manganese, and potassium. They also consist of phytonutrients, flavonoids, and anthocyanins. Thus, they can act as a catalyst for treating many diseases and improving physical and mental health: vitamin C activates collagen production – an essential substance that helps strengthen the joints, cartilage – thus protecting the body from harmful external factors. Moreover, eating strawberries also treat heart-related problems by lowering blood pressure, balancing sugar levels in the blood, and guarding against cancer.
